This weekend was Dreamation, a gaming convention in NJ focussing on tabletop and live-action roleplaying games. I ran three games and one of them, Unmasked (by Monte Cook Games), is about teens in the 80’s who become obsessed with fashioning weird masks, which then somehow give them superpowers. Games like Unmasked require a certain amount of prep before running, from writing the adventure the players will experience, to creating the characters they’ll be playing. In my game, players picked from a group of masks based only on a visual description, and then discovered what superpowers each possessed. Here are the ones I wrote up!
Also shout-out to Clio Davis ITP’15 for playing with me!
