The default Mac images have become almost unrealistically pristine since our environment has been rapidly changing. For example, the polar bear image will soon be obsolete if they become extinct. Where we’re headed, the screensaver of the future would need images that reflect the actual world outside.

Earthsaver is a collection of the 17 default Mac screensaver images, retouched to show the effects of climate change.
